GOOD START TO 2012

Today brought to a close the New Year holiday coaching clinics with the public schools reopening tomorrow. Although these clinics were quieter than December they were still well attended and enjoyed by all involved. Smaller groups meant close individual attention from our team of well qualified and experienced coaches. Cricket, hockey and soccer sessions were hosted at the various venues and all the participants went home armed with the skills to get ahead of the rest this upcoming season.

In addition to the training, all Sporting Chancers were in line to win spot prizes with special donations from our sponsors Hi-Tec, GM and Sportsmans Warehouse. Congratulations to our Hi-Tec hamper winners: Wylie Scarborough, Eric Lehmberg and Adrian Taylor and to our Junior GM bat winner: Zachary Nelson!

No Sporting Chancer however went home empty handed as everyone was rewarded with a bundle of sponsors goodies including a Kauai voucher which entitled them to a FREE Kauai Treasure Island kids meal, a 20% discount voucher from apparel sponsors Hi-Tec and a Flip File and BIC pen to start the new school year.

Many thanks to our sponsors for their continued support and to the our team of dynamic coaches and all the young Sporting Chancers for making these past holiday coaching clinics a phenomenal success. We now look forward to the term coaching…

STARTING THE NEW YEAR

The Sporting Chance team have ‘hit off’ their New Year with the January holiday coaching clinics. These clinics focus on preparing the young Sporting Chancers for the upcoming season and to get them back into form for the start of the new school year. Cricket, soccer and hockey players have been enjoying the fun in the sun.

For anyone wanting to join us the clinics continue on Monday and Tuesday next week…

HOLIDAY SUMMER CLINICS 2011 OFF TO A FLYING START

Sporting Chance sport clinic venues around the Western Cape have been abuzz with activity since Monday as hundreds of eager young Sporting Chancers arrived to register for the start of their holiday clinics. For the first time field hockey has been introduced as a Summer clinic sport option and we are delighted with the amount of children participating. Also great to see a growing amount of soccer girls attending our Constantia, Newlands, Bellville and Somerset West clinics and even a few young female cricketers coming to the fore! Overall numbers have exceeded expectations and the atmosphere at each clinic has been really great. Our first clinic-week runs until Friday and the second one starts on 5 January 2012.

KIDS HAVE A BALL AT SPORTING CHANCE SPRING HOLIDAY COACHING CLINICS

A wonderful week filled with good weather, eager Sporting Chancers and an action packed programme was enjoyed by all who joined us these Spring holidays.

Today was “Fun Friday” which included a recap of the skills learnt over the programme and some long awaited extra games and matches. After all the activity it was time for prize giving with all the Sporting Chancers receiving a bundle of goodies, including an individual evaluation certificate, a special edition Flip File, a Sporting Chance drawstring bag and a Kauai card and kids menu.

It was a successful and enjoyable 5 days and we extend our thanks to all the parents for bringing the young Sporting Chancers to the clinics, and to our sponsors Flip File, Sportsmans Warehouse, GM, BIC, Kauai and SuperSport Let’s Play for making it possible.
