Taquanta has been a proud and avid supporter of the Calypso Cricket Festival over the past two years and has played a significant role in Sporting Chance successfully staging the educational sports programme each December.

The Taquanta team put their ‘peddle to the meddle’ and used the Cape Argus Pick n Pay Momentum Cycle Tour as a fundraising scheme for Sporting Chance’s Calypso Cricket programme.  Sporting Chance was invited to Taquanta’s pre-Argus Cycle Tour Dinner at Scusi restaurant in Newlands on Friday for the cheque hand over. Through the persevering efforts of the dedicated Taquanta team, R90 000 was raised from various organisations on behalf of the Sporting Chance Development Foundation. The theme of the fundraising initiative was “Talent Identification in South Africa” and many of those organisations and individuals who donated in their private capacities, have indicated their interest in backing our quest for unearthing sporting talent throughout South Africa.

We continue to thank Taquanta for its consistent support of the Sporting Chance Development Foundation. We believe that collaborative efforts, such as the partnership established with Taquanta, are the foundation for striving to achieve our goal of unearthing talent and providing the youth with the chance to positively impact their respective communities.
